Rack, The (Remastered)

Rack, The (Remastered)

Wounded and weakened in Korean prison camps, GIs descend from the plane that returned them to U.S. soil. It is a time of tearful family reunions. A time of uncertainty about how to help traumatized men. And a time of reckoning: Capt. Edward W. Hall Jr., a silver-star hero and ex-POW, faces trial for collaboration with the enemy. Paul Newman’s richly complex portrayal of Hall sets the tone of acting excellence found throughout The Rack. How much can a POW be expected to endure before breaking? Should his own past and emotional vulnerabilities be weighed against the miltary’s policy of name, rank and serial number? The issues remain timelessly relevant in this probing courtroom drama adapted from a Rod Serling teleplay.

The Dukes

FROM JIMMIE: Well goody goody gum drops, it seems that the popularity of the Dukes of Hazzard, has come full circle. I am so happy to see that it's popularity has encouraged Warner Bros. to release a series of cartoons where the younger children can get a familiarity off the original live show. The entire cast did the voices of the cartoon characters. It was something new for some of them. Especially Kathy. It was a lot of fun, and although I haven't seen to many of the episodes, I liked what I did see. And it certainly is family entertainment. That in itself is a blessing. There is so little on television these days that we can let the younger people enjoy and not be embarrassed by the material. We hope that everyone will get some of the CDs off the cartoon to share with their children and loved ones. What a perfect gift for, the lucky ones for Christmas. I hope you're one of them.
